Telstra BE INVOLVED, World class talent nurtured here.

August 21 2009 – BigPond and the NRL have launched a new NRL kids site has been designed to provide a safe, fun and interactive way to encourage younger members to the game.

NRL Kids brings its own special blend of excitement including a range of content and competitions with prizes like tickets to the NRL Grand Final and Party Packs. The website also educates kids about healthy living options, bringing kids tips on eating well, playing well and staying well.

Telstra Ambassador and NRL League footballer with the Parramatta Eels, Nathan Hindmarsh said he hoped the initiative would get more kids behind the game.

“This is a great way for kids to get involved and feel more connected with NRL. Not all kids are confident footballers but this is a non-threatening way to educate kids and get them interested. It also reinforces the importance of physical activity and health,” Nathan Hindmarsh, said.

“When I was growing up it was important for kids to have a connection with the game and I think this site will help to do that,” he said.

The latest interactive games are available which can be played free* ‘in browser’ plus special downloads of team mascots wallpaper. We’ve also include the latest music and kids’ movie reviews, competitions, clips and much more. To visit this one stop shop for kids visit: http://www.nrl.com/NRLKids/tabid/10892/Default.aspx
