After the judging process, selected entrants will be contacted and invited to perform live at their nominated heat. The selected digital entrant will be invited to attend the Boot Camp.

The winners of each heat will go on to attend the Telstra Road to Discovery Boot Camp in Sydney, a three-day music mentoring workshop in December. At the judge’s discretion a “wildcard” entrant could be picked from anywhere in the heat run to attend Boot Camp and the Semi-Finals

At Boot Camp Semi-Finalists will get to spend time with a large number of music industry experts. In addition they will have one on one time with Bill Page and with the house band in preparation for the Semi Final event.

Each Semi-Finalist will perform 1 song live on stage on in December as part of the Sydney Telstra 500 V8 Supercars event.

From here the top 7 performers progress to Telstra Road to Discovery Final as part of the Tamworth Country Music Festival in January 2012.

With the field narrowed, the Final 7 continue their journey to compete in the Final of Telstra Road To Discovery where the winning performer (and songwriter) will be announced.

Overall competition winners in each category receive a twelve month music mentorship which includes a return trip to Nashville, Tennessee! For details on prize packages click here.

4 selected songwriters will get to attend Telstra Road To Discovery Boot Camp in Sydney, a three-day music-mentoring workshop in December.

Each songwriter Semi-Finalist from Boot Camp will perform or have 1 song performed by the artist and our house band, live on stage in December as part of the Sydney Telstra 500 V8 Supercars event.

The 4 songwriters will be narrowed down to 3 finalists who will progress to the Telstra Road To Discovery Final as part of the Tamworth Country Music Festival in January 2012.

The final 3 songwriters continue their journey towards Telstra Road To Discovery Final where the winning songwriter (and performer) will be announced in January 2012.
